Nice, France

Jetting off the French Riveria is a magical experience at any time of the year, but it might the most special during the middle of February when Nice celebrates its Carnival. From February 11th through the 25th, the Mediterranean coast is lit up with celebrations that include parade, performances by over 1,000 musicians, and fireworks, all highlighted by “flower battles” that feature astonishing costumes and characters tossing out lilies, mimosas, and daisies to the crowds, and capped off the crowning of a carnival king.
